Seniors Rights Service held our first annual Inspire Awards recognition program to honour the exceptional achievements and dedication of our people.

The Inspire Awards are Seniors Rights Service’s annual employee recognition awards program that celebrates both years of service and excellence at work.

Our inaugural Inspire Awards took place during our all staff conference dinner on Wednesday 29 May 2025. During the event, we celebrated our service award recipients and recognised the finalists and winners across our six excellence award categories.

To be considered for the Excellence awards, our staff were invited to nominate colleagues in one of six award categories: compassion, collaboration, integrity, respect, quality and safety.

The Service Awards celebrate the dedication and expertise of our long-term employees. These awards demonstrate our heartfelt appreciation for unwavering commitment to safeguarding and advocating for the rights of older people in NSW for more than five years. This year, we had two recipients for both five and ten years and one for fifteen years’ service to our organisation and the people we support.

The Excellence awards celebrated two finalists and a winner in each of the six categories.

COLLABORATION
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category encourages teamwork and cooperation by fostering open communication, sharing knowledge and leveraging individual strengths to achieve a common goal.

COMPASSION
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category understands and addresses the needs and concerns of others, shows kindness and support and takes action that contributes to people’s wellbeing, thereby creating a positive and caring environment.

INTEGRITY
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category is truthful and transparent in their interactions, making decisions based on ethical principles and maintaining consistency between words and actions.

QUALITY
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category achieves organisational goals through a data informed best practice approach, consistently delivering high quality work while showing attention to detail and accuracy.

RESPECT
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category acknowledges and appreciates the unique contributions of individuals, valuing different viewpoints to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and welcome.

SAFETY
Someone who demonstrates excellence in this category exemplifies the highest standards of safety in their work and motivates others to prioritise safety and wellbeing in their daily activities.

During the ceremony, attendees heard the nomination content provided by their colleagues for each category, providing a wonderful insight into the ways so many of our team members go beyond to ensure fantastic outcomes for our clients and excel in their roles every day.

Congratulations to all the award recipients and nominees. We are incredibly proud of your achievements. Thanks, too, to all those who worked behind the scenes and on the night to make the event a great success. Finally, thanks to the team members who took the time to submit nominations for their workmates.

To inspire is to ignite a spark within others, encouraging them to dream bigger, reach higher and believe in the limitless possibilities of their own potential.
