Seniors Rights Service solicitors give advice to people aged 65 or over and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 or over in NSW.

Some of the issues we can help with include:

  • Complaints regarding banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions
  • Defective goods: repairs, replacements
  • Goods or services not provided in accordance with contract
  • Unsatisfactory services

Human rights matters

  • Abuse of an older person, including financial, physical and emotional abuse by relatives, carers or professionals. What is abuse?
  • Age discrimination
  • Access to medical records
  • Access to government information

Alternative decision-making

  • Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship issues
  • Guardianship and financial management orders and applications

Seniors Rights Service is a member of Community Legal Centres NSW. Community legal centres give free legal help to people in need. The services are free and confidential.
