Our Advocacy team has been strengthened with the arrival of Lucy to run information sessions for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Lucy has a strong focus on advocating for seniors from multicultural backgrounds and recently provided an education session for residents at St. Dominic’s Home for the Elderly in Blacktown, run by the Dominican Sisters of Malta.
Lucy (pictured on right with facility manager Christine) met residents and chatted to them about the rights as seniors and about the services we offer. An interpreter was on hand to ensure the message was understood by Maltese-speaking participants.
Seniors Rights Service can always provide interpreters for education sessions.
