Participate in research that brings generations together

By 20/01/2025No Comments

Are you over 65 and looking for a meaningful way to connect with the community? UNSW and The George Institute invite you to participate in a unique 20-week program designed to bring joy and fun to both older adults and preschoolers.

The George Institute is pioneering an intergenerational research program involving preschoolers and seniors. Inspired by the ABC TV show ‘Old Peoples Home for 4 Year Olds’, this initiative aims to tackle the pressing issues of frailty and dementia among older Australians.

The program’s structure is simple yet impactful: adults aged 65 and over are paired with preschoolers for two-hour weekly sessions filled with joyous activities like crafting, music, and yoga.
