Seniors Rights Service is committed to a culture of inclusion where diversity is recognised, valued and embraced. We want to ensure that our services are appropriate and accessible to all people, no matter what their backgrounds are.
The needs of some groups in our community often go unmet by mainstream services. Therefore Seniors Rights Service prioritises assisting some community groups, what we call our ‘priority populations’. These include:
- First Nations people
- Culturally and racially marginalised
- Disadvantaged and vulnerable
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, other
- Living in regional, rural and remote locations
To better address these communities we have developed dedicated information pages for some of our priority populations. These pages will improve access to information and promote our services to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.
Multilingual pages
Multilingual pages have also been developed in fourteen languages commonly spoken by communities in New South Wales.
